The Farm: The Shop, The Gardens and The Loft B&B

We invite you to take a break in the country, down a small road to the bluffs overlooking the beautiful Sangamon River. Whether native or visitor, avid gardener, herbal enthusiast or crafter, we think you’ll be pleased with what you find.

A visit to The Farm means many things to many people. Some come to find unique, hand-made, one of a kind items in our Shop. Many enjoy the beautiful Gardens to see hard-to-find plants in a landscape situation or to relax under an arbor. It is a favorite spot for wedding photos, senior pictures and family events. The Greenhouse features a variety of plants that you won’t find at the big box stores. Couples and families can enjoy a relaxing weekend in The Loft B&B, with luxurious amenities, privacy and a great view of our 63 rolling acres. Groups book The Farm for hayrides, group tours, picnics and bonfires throughout the year.

Why do people make the short drive to visit The Farm? They often tell us about the great smells when they walk in the door. It’s the unique gifts, hand-crafted items, reasonable prices, and creative displays in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Check out our many vignettes to appreciate the Cottage, Primitive and Victorian collections. And the three big open houses a year have become tradition for loyal customers who sometimes travel long-distance to be a part of the fun.

We are just 20 minutes from Springfield and the historic sites, 8 miles from Lincoln’s New Salem, 10 miles from historic Petersburg and 20 miles from Hill Prairie Winery in Oakford. Please check out our Contact page for a map and driving directions.
